The incorporation process for physicians begins with determining your eligibility and choosing a professional name that complies with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) requirements. Pax Law assists in name reservation, preparing the necessary incorporation documents, and filing with BC Registries. Once the company is incorporated, we can help you apply for a business license and coordinate with your accountant to obtain a tax ID number and set up appropriate share structures. Additionally, we guide you through submitting your application to the CPSBC for a Medical Corporation Permit.
Pax Law Corporation charges a legal fee of $1500 + taxes + disbursements to incorporate a medical practice. The applicable disbursements in February 2023 will be a fee of $31.5 – $131.5 to reserve a corporate name, a fee of $351 to register the corporation, and approximately $500 in fees to the College of Physicians and Surgeons. The yearly corporation permit fee is $135 for the College.
